Overview: In this session, Advance Care Planning will be defined and examples presented on how and when to complete Advance Care Planning. Once defined, attendees will learn who can bill for advance care planning, when and how to bill for this service.

Dr. Terri Peterson-Henry is a palliative care physician at Sanford Health. She attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Hinsdale Hospital Family Practice in Hinsdale, IL. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Medicine. Dr. Peterson-Henry is a member of the National Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) and the American Academy of Family Practice (AAFP). She also serves as a clinical professor of family medicine at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine (USD SSM).
