Rebecca Ortmeier serves as an Apprenticeship Coordinator with the South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation. In this role, She works closely with employers, educators, and community partners to expand and strengthen registered apprenticeship programs across the state. Specializing in healthcare occupations, Rebecca also supports workforce development initiatives in a wide range of industries to meet South Dakota’s evolving labor market needs. With a focus on building sustainable career pathways, she is dedicated to helping both businesses and individuals succeed through hands-on, earn-and-learn training models through the Start Today SD Apprenticeship Program.
