Overview: As caregivers, we are often faced with difficult decisions - those moments when there’s no clear right answer, and all available choices come with their own set of challenges. What happens when resident preferences clash with family expectations? When professional protocols conflict with personal beliefs? When emotions and policies collide in real-life, human situations? How do we navigate these ethical dilemmas and make decisions that are not only legally sound but also compassionate and just?

In this session, we will explore the complex ethical challenges faced by professionals in the aging services field, as well as our own personal lives This session provides an in-depth overview of ethics, values, and decision-making frameworks that support quality, person-centered care. Through practical examples and real-world scenarios, participants will gain the skills and confidence needed to approach challenging situations with clarity and integrity.
