Overview: Giving feedback is one of the most important responsibilities of a leader—and often one of the most uncomfortable. Many leaders avoid it, delay it, or only use it when something goes wrong. Over time, that can lead to confusion, missed expectations, and decreased engagement.

In this session, we will reframe feedback as a tool for clarity, growth, and connection—not just correction. We will also explore how feedback, coaching, and accountability work together to support performance and development.

Participants will walk away with a simple, practical approach they can use right away to deliver feedback with confidence, even in challenging situations.

Objectives:
  • Distinguish between feedback, coaching, and accountability and explain how each supports employee performance and development.
  • Recognize common barriers to providing feedback and identify strategies to move past hesitation or avoidance with greater confidence.
  • Apply a structured feedback model to construct and deliver clear, respectful, and outcome-focused feedback.
Audience: general
CE: NHA, certificate of attendance
