Presenter: Daniel Mark, MD, Sanford Children’s Hospital and Specialty Clinic

Dr Daniel Mark is the only physician is South Dakota currently board-certified in Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He received his MD from New York Medical College in 2012 and completed his pediatric residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2015. He completed a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in 2017. Since 2017, he has been working as a pediatric palliative care physician at Sanford Children’s Hospital and Specialty Clinic in Sioux Falls. He is currently the chief of the section of pediatric palliative care, also known as the PRISM Team. He has an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor through the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. Additionally, he acts as the Physician Lead of the Biomedical Ethics team at Sanford Medical Center.
