Prior to joining LifeSource, Melinda earned her degree in Mortuary Science from the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation, she gained experience working as a licensed mortician in the state of Minnesota. She is an active member of the Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota Funeral Directors Associations, and has earned certifications as a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist and Certified Funeral Service Provider. Demonstrating her commitment to both education and advocacy in organ and tissue donation, Melinda is the current chair of the Donate Life America Funeral Services Committee and serves on the University of MN Advisory Board.
As a licensed mortician, she plays a vital role in supporting funeral service providers, particularly in the preparation room and through donation education.
