This webinar will review the current status of telehealth policy at both the federal and state level, including Medicare changes that went into effect in January and holdover policies from the PHE that have been extended to the end of March 2025. We will also review the current policies and recent updates to the South Dakota Medicaid program telehealth policies. There will be ample time for questions and discussion.
Webinar objectives:
1. Participants will understand key regulatory issues facing telehealth programs
2. Participants will recognize various types of regulatory changes and the timeframes in which they occur
3. Participants will know the current status of telehealth regulations, and how these relate to their telehealth program
Jonathan Neufeld is a licensed clinical psychologist and the director of gpTRAC. Dr. Neufeld joined gpTRAC in 2017, having previously served as the Clinical Director of the Upper Midwest Telehealth Resource Center in Indiana. He has consulted on many rural health and telehealth projects over the past 15+ years. He has presented at numerous regional and national conferences and published peer-reviewed articles in the fields of telemedicine, clinical decision support, and mental health services evaluation.
