Overview:
Workplace Investigation Essentials provides supervisors, HR professionals, and organizational leaders with a practical framework for recognizing when a workplace investigation is warranted and how to conduct one effectively and defensibly. Participants will learn how to identify situations that trigger the need for an investigation, understand each step in a thorough investigative process, and apply best practices for maintaining confidentiality and preventing retaliation throughout the process. The course also covers how to analyze evidence, reach and document findings, and communicate outcomes appropriately, as well as how to properly organize and maintain a separate investigation file. By the end of the session, learners will be better equipped to conduct timely, objective, and well-documented investigations that reduce risk, support fair decision-making, and help restore a productive workplace.
